The idea of adding a second restaurant to complement Diana's Delights came from Kim and her late father Christopher. Diana's Delights has been a long time favorite for both locals and travelers, the cafe serves both breakfast and lunch. With the addition of Tap Room 32, dinner service was added with a completely different look and feel. Diana's Delights is bright and colorful, while Tap Room 32 is dark with wood tones.
Even though the restaurants offer two different atmospheres and menus, the food quality and level of service remains constant.
Mark Nelson's experience over the last 25 years in northern Michigan includes family casual dining and fine dining. The majority of those years were spent as a dining room manager in Traverse City. Mark made the switch to Manager / Sous Chef when joining the launch of Tap Room 32. His main areas of experience are both sushi and pizza. Mark prefers to use simple, fresh ingredients that appeal to the taste as well as the eye. His goal is for the food to pair well with the increasingly complex flavors of the craft beer offered at Tap Room 32.
Kim started in the restaurant business at an early age with her mother Diana. During her lifetime, Kim has worked all over country and brought her knowledge back to northern Michigan to help take over the family business. Building on the success with Diana's Delights, Kim with the influence and guidance of her late father Christopher, developed the Tap Room 32 concept. Kim works hard to create exciting new additions each week and keep guests coming back.
Kim spends a majority of her time between both Diana's Delights and Tap Room 32. You can say hello to Kim usually on Wednesday nights at the Tap Room.
